Yay! The crayons will be returning home soon!
Remember the crayons called it quits when they felt Duncan wasn’t really taking good care of them and they were all a tired of colouring the same old things? Yes, some of them were really hilarious (read beige!) and some of them wanted Duncan to help settle their squabbles. The Day the Crayons Quit is a really fun book with cute illustrations.
Young ones will like the idea of the talking crayons while the older kids will find the banter very witty and funny. My kids enjoyed the books but I think I enjoyed it more. It is a little wordy and lengthy for the little ones but the idea of these crayons talking still tickles… and more so because there is a lot of truth in what they say haha
The sequel to this best-seller will be out soon. Look out for it!
The Day the Crayons Came Home will be out mid August.
Here’s a sneak peak from Harper Collins : “One day Duncan receives a set of postcards from his crayons who been lost, forgotten, broken – even melted in a clothes dryer and stuck to a pair of underpants! A hilarious text and joyful illustrations combine to show that crayons have feelings too in this laugh-out-loud sequel to bestselling picture book The Day the Crayons Quit.”
Psss… for those who love the crayons… here’s another exciting development – We might see on the big screen as Universal Picture bought the animated film rights for the first book The Day the Crayons Quit last year. Hooray!
